The Good
Not only do we get to help our clients look good, but we get to know them through our work on a personal level. Being involved with our clients helps us to understand their perspective, needs, target market and goals. Whether they are thousands of miles away, or located in the Lewis Clark Valley, we tactfully ask the right questions and listen to our client. What’s that? Yes, we listen. Pretty crazy in this day and age. Everyone is running a million miles a minute with no time to stop and lend a hand. Not to say we aren’t running a million miles a minute (trust me – we are), but we also realize how important it is to take those ten minutes or hour (or two!) and listen. Sort of like Design Therapy, and with that said we may be onto something here.

The Bad
We see this all the time. Our client brings us something that another “designer” (and I say “designer” loosely) made for them. It is created in the wrong medium and lacks interest and the personality our client is trying to convey. What to do? Well, fret not! That’s what we do – make your brochure/website/logo/ad/etc. sing your name from the rooftop. We want someone to take one look at the piece we have created and know it was designed specifically for your company – no need to look for the logo.

The Ugly
Revisions, revision, revisions! Sometimes it gets pretty hairy, or ugly for that matter, when a project gets revised a million times. The company changes their name, wants a different logo created, can’t decide who their target market is, and the list goes on! No matter what the challenge is, we handle it with ease and help make our clients ideas come to life. And, with  expert staff on hand with years of experience, we can help guide them into making the right decision.

Designing has it’s challenges, just like any career. But the good far outweighs the bad. Meet Tacoma:

Tacoma taking work serious

He’s a smiley, friendly 8 1/2 year old Yellow Lab who loves: his Mom and Dad (Michelle and Dave), playing fetch, protecting his food and water dishes, sleeping, long walks and sniffing Lola.   He’s a very loyal boy and doesn’t miss a meeting!  You can find him lounging right next to Michelle’s desk or following her every move.

Meet Lola:

She’s a 2 year old  (uncharacteristically calm) border collie who also loves following her Mom (Blake), laying near her desk and sneaking food from Tacoma’s dish. She’s been known to give a one bark “Hello” now and again and loves to lick. You can usually find her lying right by Blake’s desk, but she does like to wander and say hi to all the employees throughout the day.

• PHP, MySQL, Javascript, jQuery, Flash, HTML, CSS experience
• have the know-how to develop Javascript functionality from scratch.
• learn quickly, read/write (preferably with the correct spelling and grammar), research and figure it out if you don’t already know (basic stuff really) and come up with ideas that will shake our world
• be able to create, edit, maintain and troubleshoot CSS
• multitask (that means you must be able to answer the phone and make a latte while continuing to work….just kidding, sort of)
• know content management systems like the back of your hand and be able to work with our preferred CMS, WordPress.
• be able to implement ecommerce solutions (to help our clients make money so they can pay us, and we can pay you)
• integrate APIs
• put SEO to work for our clients, so their clients can find them, which means our clients will love us forever
• create sites that are also functional on a mobile device, and convert sites for viewing on mobile devices
• have the patience, and intelligence, to see through cross-browser/platform issues (yes IE, even though we not so secretly wish they would disappear from computers)
• have a BS/BA degree in a related field (not absolutely necessary, but we think college teaches some pretty darn good critical thinking skills)

•  upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing projects
•  developing new functionality for our CMS-based websites
•  working with our development team to code templates and functionality for new projects
